Software Details

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Our beta programme for our software will be going live very soon . A solid date on Monday. The software is a big step forward for our company and it moves us from  pure lost & found to  mobile security. We have found with our customers that whilst protecting against loss was very important protecting against theft was just as critical.

We will be launching with a software product for laptops and certain phones. We will be confirming exactly what we are covering in the next number of days.

As the service is patent pending I am precluded from giving too much details but hopefully it will be worth the wait.

Thanks for the all the requests for invites. Just email paul@yougetitback.com if you would like to get on the list.

Police want GPS on phones to solve crimes

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Police have said that they want all phones to have GPS systems so they can track victims and suspects. 20% of phones currently have GPS in South Korea.

“The National Police Agency “will consult with pertinent government agencies to pursue the installation of a GPS receiver on all mobile phones,” Song Gang-ho, investigation director of the agency, said in a press conference.”

They are also discussing tagging kids in schools to ensure they can locate them at any time. Docomo have an interesting service which I saw at the ‘07 3gsm that may fit the bill.
