Bank Customers Data on laptop sold on Ebay
A laptop sold for £77 on ebay had million of customers records of 3 major banks including RBS and Natwest according to the BBC.
The data related to credit card applications and the banks is going for cover stating that it had been ” inappropriately sold on via a third party”.
Andrew Chapman, an IT manager from Oxford, and all round good egg was appalled at this security lapse and raised the alarm.
